Food is delightful, order a little bit of everything. Had oysters and tar tar, French bread and Brie, as well as little gem salad, and the duck.., the duck was absolutely to die for and cooked to perfection. Atmosphere is French bistro authentic and in a cute little house, the music and vibes are on point, Maddison is an excellent server and very attentive and knowledgeable. Would recommend.
Visiting from Milwaukee and wow, we loved Sottise!! An old house converted into an amazing French restaurant. The atmosphere, ambiance, food, drinks, service - I’m still not over it. Please visit this wonderful gem in downtown Phoenix! You wrong regret it!
Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in years. Excellent service, drinks, and the food was delicious. Deviled eggs, scallops crudo, escargot, beef bourguignon and duck were all excellent. Get the beets, so amazing! Kudos to the whole staff, worked great as a team and really on top of everything the whole evening. I’ll be back.
We celebrated my girlfriend’s 31st birthday here with family and friends and it did not disappoint. Drinks were great and food was fantastic. There wasn’t a dish we didn’t enjoy. We especially liked the onion soup, escargot, and tuna tartare. Thanks Sottise!
If you're looking for some solid French food in Phoenix -this is the place for you! The cocktails were a delicious start and we then decided to order a mix of items from the 'a la carte' menu. No choice was a disappointment! Pictured is the wild mushroom crostini, french onion soup, and mussels. We also ordered the beef tartare, cheese plate, and fresh bread.
Excellent & delicious food, among the best "European" food we've had anywhere in Arizona. In a quaint and small bungalow with small tables, phenomenal bar and vinyl spinning. Service is friendly and attentive. The tortelli is outstanding. Vegan and pescatarian options on menu. We will return!
Highly recommend for amazing French cuisine and an intimate dining experience. Everything we had was delicious, I can’t pick a favorite. Escargot gets a bad rap for obvious reasons but don’t sleep on it because it’s deliciously drowned in butter and garlic and we ordered round two because we wanted more. The cocktails are perfectly and thoughtfully crafted too. I feel like yes it’s on the pricier side, but it’s appropriately priced for the food and dining experience. Shoutout to Chef Eric!
As I passed through Phoenix on a very lengthy roadtrip, I really wanted to have a special meal. Sottise was such a great choice. The restaurant is in an old historic home, which really adds so much to the charm. The staff was very friendly and attentive. And the food? Incredible. This spot is absolutely worth going out of your way to try. All the food is great, but make sure not to pass up the deviled eggs. They are amazing.
